Australian Sponsor

Becoming an Australian sponsor

To sponsor temporary residents to Australia, the first step is for your business to become an Australian sponsor.
A Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) for an overseas business or an Australian business is valid for 3 years and permits you to sponsor an unlimited number of employees during this period.

To become a sponsor your company or business must:
1. Be a lawful, operating business.
2. Have the financial ability to meet its sponsorship obligations.
3. Meet certain training benchmarks, or if it is a “start-up business” have an auditable plan to meet the training benchmarks.

We partner with you to step your business through this process to ensure that the information given to DIAC is the most complete and accurate. We reduce the stress caused to your staff in preparing this documentation. We provide a detailed Checklist and have a solid understanding of the requirements.  We complete the forms and your submissions.  We ensure all your documentation is complete.

At the time you apply to become a sponsor, we provide you with an up-to-date and comprehensive document outlining your sponsorship obligations so that you do not have to waste time trying to work this out on DIAC or other websites.
Once you are a sponsor, we then complete the next two steps of the visa process - the Nomination and Visa applications
DIAC has instituted Monitoring for Sponsors. These can be difficult and time consuming. We assist your company to respond to this process quickly by utilising information we retain on file about your business and your visa holders. Our job is to reduce the stress of your staff by working in partnership with you and completing all the paperwork for you.
